The acquisition, management, leasing or sale of
real estate assets is one of the biggest investment decisions a
business or individual can make. Our real estate practice
encompasses a wide range of transactional and litigation matters for
both commercial and residential clients. We represent investors,
entrepreneurs, developers, business owners, property managers,
condominium and home owners' associations, and individual home
owners.
GMD &Partners, Ltd's transactional practice centers on advising and
representing our clients so that they can make informed and
proactive decisions about real estate acquisition, disposition,
development, construction, use and management. We draft, review and
negotiate contracts, leases, easements, association declarations,
by-laws and general governance documents. We conduct due diligence
of our clients' real estate transactions to address inspection and
title issues and assure compliance with federal, state and local
laws and regulations, including those relating to environmental and
municipal codes. Our services also include preparation or review of
title and survey materials, and assistance in selecting the proper
entity for holding real property.
GMD &Partners, Ltd's real estate litigation practice is enhanced by
our knowledge and experience in real estate transactions. We bring
actions on behalf of, and defend, our clients in a wide range of
real estate suits, including actions to enforce or terminate real
estate deals, actions to quiet title, disputes over boundary or
other matters relating to title or survey and a host of other
actions involving the ownership and use of real property. We also
regularly handle landlord-tenant disputes, evictions, mechanic's
lien claims, claims relating to condominium and homeowner's
association governance and alleged violations of governmental laws
and regulations, including municipal and building codes.
